JOB POSTING: Harvesting labourer

Overview
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Farm Worker to support crop production operations in a rural agricultural setting. This is an on-site position with accommodation and transportation provided.

Language
English/French

 

Education
Secondary school graduation certificate required

​

Experience
2 to less than 3 years in agricultural work

​

Work Location
On-site only (no remote work)
Rural area
Staff accommodation, room and board provided
Willingness to relocate required (relocation costs not covered)

​

Work Environment
Corn, soybean, wheat, dry pea and bean farming
Greenhouse and nursery settings
All weather conditions

​

Key Responsibilities

  • Apply and mix fertilizers; spray and fertilize crops

  • Plant, harvest, and clean crops and seedlings

  • Clear fields of wood and stones

  • Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment

  • Monitor crops for disease and health issues

  • Perform plowing, irrigating, cultivating, and harvesting activities

  • Follow farm safety, biosecurity, and sustainable farming practices

  • Maintain basic daily progress reports

Crops & Equipment Experience

  • Soybeans and sweet corn

  • Farm trucks, fertilizer applicators, sprayers, and hand tools

  • Nursery and greenhouse operations

  • Environmentally sustainable farming methods (crop rotation, reduced/no-till, cover crops, precision farming)

​

Requirements

  • Valid driver’s licence

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • Physically demanding work (lifting, bending, standing, repetitive tasks)

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure

​
